Winning Over Anger & Violence is a nonprofit organization providing professional counseling services to reduce physical and emotional abuse in our community.

Our hIstory:

Winning has provided services since 1987, when a technician at a Central Oregon television station fielded a call from someone who wanted to find help with anger issues. The technician canvassed the community but couldn't find an appropriate service for this caller.

The technician joined forces with other concerned community members, and together they formed Winning. They asked Bend psychologist Andy Schob to offer the first counseling services, and they asked for and received initial financial donations.

Caroline Stratton
Ms. Stratton has a masters degree from Millersville University in Pennsylvania and did post-graduate training at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center. She has done intensive in-home family therapy, county mental health with families and adults, residential treatment with adolescents, and equine-assisted therapy. She currently is in private practice, provides Winning groups for local high schools and is a court mental health examiner.

Janet McKee
Ms. McKee is a licensed professional counselor and is also licensed as a school teacher and school counselor. She trained at Western Oregon State College/Oregon State University and has worked with school behavioral issues since 1987 and with anger issues since 1992. She conducts Winning high school groups.
